dirtymagaziningDAEDALUS: A cosmic spanning organization. They nab folks they feel have "potential" on trumped up and often highly fictitious charges. The poor sods get a choice: face justice and a sure death sentence or do their "time" and work for Daedalus. Most choose the latter for the obvious reasons.
ADMETE: Planet covered in water in the Nebulan System. It has a few high tech cities, but for the most part it's rural whith large swathes of its ocean uninhabited by the local dominant species (the "kelp people" are a different matter, but they're hardly civilized). I'M NOT GOOD AT PLANET THINGS. So if you wanna make up a more comprehensive blurb sling it my way or we'll just make it up as we go.
THE MISSION: Big Business wants in on the mining rights in this aquatic world. Taking out opposition leaders and creating highly charged political situations that make Big B look favorable is the name of the game.
SUB MISSION: There's something in a tomb in the Novalis Crevice that goes down oh about a few highly pressurized miles. Special equipment is needed to reach these depths and for oxygen breathing creatures you'll only have so long down there before you run out. It's said there's a guardian, but no one goes to this boonie location so who knows. Inside is some sort of...thing. Daedalus did not specify. But they did say their operatives will know it when they see it. Well okay then. Anyway they're to retrieve it and bring it back to the group.
EXTRA MISSIONS: Idk none at the moment will add as we make them up
ROCKET: Charged with large amounts of manslaughter (not untrue), Rocket has been sentenced by Daedalus. He chose work over execution. Unfortunately his sentence grows ever longer as he has a habit of leaving his partners to die. For this reason every partner he lets die earns him less pay and less rations. NOT A FUN TIME. He's pretty thoroughly of the opinion Daedalus can choke on a bag of glarxion nerfles. Which he's told them. Loudly. And repeatedly.
SHINO: Charged with enslaving a foreign intelligence, slaughtering foreign intelligence, endangering the local ecology through acts of terrorism and being criminally beautiful, Shino has been sentenced to an hella long term. He's here. He's not getting out. And Daedalus has Big Plans for him. He just needs to make it through the rookie missions and Get On Board With Things. And they're planning to make sure he does.

MISSION: 01
Date: 2016-05-30 06:28 am (UTC)And today's challenge? They need to take out the Dali Pipeline, a pipeline that funneled Crude Oil between the various settlements of Admete. It was a lifeline of the planet set up by the collaboration of local governments. Without it they'd be dependent on foreign imports. Only problem? To get to it they'd have to go out into the wilderness and its various hazards. The wildlife didn't play for fun on this world.
Putting on his helmet, the last piece of his under water suit, Rocket glanced at Shino. "Ready to go fresh meat? We ain't got all day here."
